Warrington Wolves’ Head of Coaching Tony Smith reflects on the “highs and lows” of the 2010 Super League season, which saw the team win the Challenge Cup for the second consecutive year but the disappointment of a home play-off defeat to Huddersfield Giants.
Although “massively disappointed” by the defeat Smith says he is already looking forward to next season with a crop of talented youngsters coming through the ranks added to the experience of his only new signing Brett Hodgson from Huddersfield.
He says there will be no other news signings for next season despite the departures of Kevin Penny, Vinnie Anderson and Richie Mathers.
He expects to see more of Tyrone McCarthy, Lee Mitchell, Matty Blyth and the Evans twins, to name but a few of the exciting young players already at the club.
