FIRE crews from Stockton Heath, Birchwood and Knutsford were called to a report of a blaze involving a silo at High Legh.
The fire turned out to involve a grain dryer and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used three hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.
A hydraulic platform and a line rescue unit were among the five applicances called to the scene in Northwood Lane.
No-one was hurt.
