VETERAN rockers Status Quo are to visit Warrington later this year.
Britain’s best-loved rock band is including the Parr Hall in their 28-date UK winter tour.
Tickets go on sale at 9am this Friday (May 14) from the Parr Hall box office (01925 442345) and www.livenation.co.uk.
The “Quid Pro Quo” tour kicks off in Southend on November 9 and arrives in Warrington on November 23.
Quo are gearing up for yet another hard-rocking year. In the Autumn, the band will surprise many of their fans with a special record release, but there is no doubt that by the time the winter tour starts the band will truly be firing on all cylinders.
Francis Rossi said: “We cannot wait for the UK winter dates. We’ve been halfway round the world already in 2010, so it will be great to get out on stage in front of our unbelieveable home crowds. Playing in the UK is so special to us.” Rick Parfitt added: “It doesn’t matter how many thousands of miles we’ve done on the bus, by the time the tour starts in Southend we’ll be ready to rock – see you there!”
With more than 40 years of hard-gigging behind them, Quo know better than almost anyone how to put on a show and seriously get the crowd rocking.
Acclaimed by many as Britain’s greatest rock n roll band, Quo were even recognised by the Queen with OBEs this year.
