DEVELOPERS have won planning consent for a four-storey office block only a month after seeing the same application thrown out by Warrington planners.
Capital and Provincial have taken advantage of a delay  by planning officers in issuing the development control committee's original decision.
They withdrew their plan for a prestigious office building on land adjoing Stanford House at Garrett Field, Birchwood and then submitted them again with additional information.
By doing so they avoided going through the length appeals procedure - and the extra information they provided persuaded councillors that the scheme should go ahead.
The scheme had been opposed by Birchwood Town Council and the initial concerns were that the development would lead to unacceptable increases in traffic.
Plans involve a four-storey office building with 141 car parking spaces, some in an underground facility.
