WARRINGTON Town have signed former Northwhich Victoria goalkeeper Ben Connett as their new shot stopper following the sudden departure of Richie Mottram at the weekend.
Connett, who was with Woodley Sports more recently, goes straight into first team action at Clitheroe tonight, kick off 7.45pm when Warrington hope to continue their push for the play-offs.
He is the third Woodley player to join Town this season, following in the footsteps of central defender Levi Kennedy and prolific goal scorer Gavin Salmon who has netted five times since joining the Yellows.
On Saturday Warrington entertain Radcliffe Borough when ex-Aston Villa, Everton and Bolton star Gareth Farrelly is set to make his debut.
Then next Tuesday Warrington entertain former football league outfit AFC Halifax Town at Cantilever Park when a bumper crowd it expected.

Meanwhile on the injury front there is good and bad news.
The good news is that skipper Mike Tomlinson could be back in two weeks after a scan revealed the extent of his knee cartilage damage which doesn’t require an operation. But fellow central defender Tom Hardwick will be out for at least another month with knee ligament damage.
