WARRINGTON Wolves today announced three major new signings which

Head of Coaching Tony Smith says is “pretty close” to completing his

squad for next season.
The Wolves today confirmed Rugby League’s worst kept secret that they had signed Salford half back Richie Myler, who has been linked with the Wolves for several months and was seen with the Warrington party at Wembley.
The other signings are Wakefield’s England international centre Ryan Atkins and Bradford forward David Solomona.
The Wolves confirmed the signings of Myler and Atkins, both young England internationals had involved transfer fees in excess of £300,000.
Commenting on his new signings Smith said: “We are pretty close to completing our squad for next season although there is still time for some of the youngsters at the club to come through the ranks.
“I was keen to strengthen the half-back area and am looking forward to Myler linking up with Briers and Monaghan.
“Ryan is a big strong young man with good skills who is still raw material and I expect a lot to come from him in the future.
“Soli is one of those guys who can turn a game around on his own, which is something we have been a little short of and I am confident he will be ready to start next season after recovering from a shoulder injury.”
Players expected to be released by the Wolves next season include Challenge Cup winner Paul Johnson, who has been linked with a move to Wakefield, despite his desire to play for his home town club, Wigan, while Paul Rauhihi, who missed out on a Wembley place, is also out of contract.
