Tough start for Town

WARRINGTON Town had a tough start to the season as they went down 1-7 to Premier Division promotion favorites AFC Fylde in a pre-season friendly.
In a close first half Warrington’s new striker Ben Wharton linked up well with Chris Gahgan to open his account at the club to bring the scores level on 21 minutes, after the visitors scored in the opening minute through Jack Dorney.
But two quick fire goals from a trialist and James Dean made it 3-1 to the visitors at the break.
Warrington struggled in the heat as AFC Fylde added a further four goals without reply in a one sided second half.
