Youth knocked unconscious by gang

POLICE at Warrington are hunting four men who beat a 17-year-old youth senseless and robbed him of his wallet.
The attack took place in Mallard Lane, Birchwood at about 4pm on Wednesday.
As a result of his injuries, the youth was taken to Warrington Hospital for treatment.
The youth was approached by the four thugs who demanded his mobile phone. When he refused, they attacked him and tried to grab the phone.
They pulled his jacket up over his face so he could not see and then proceeded to punch and kick him until he lost consciousness. When he came to, he found his wallet was missing but his mobile was intact.
Police said on man was about 20, with short brown hair. He was about 5ft 11 inches tall and was wearing a white tee shirt and black tracksuit bottoms. He had disctintive scars on his throat and face and spoke with a local accent.
The second man was of mixed race, about 19-20 and about 6ft tall. He had short dark hair and was wearing a black tracksuit.
A black man, also about 6ft tall and also wearing a black tracksuit and a slim man of about 21, 6ft 2 inches tall with short blond hair were also involved.
