I am trying to find information on a local tragedy that happened in Bewsey, Warrington, around the 1950s concerning the Thompson family who lived in Bewsey.

I am trying to find information on a local tragedy that happened in Bewsey, Warrington around the 1950s.
It concerned the Thompson family from Wilson Street and I used to go to school with Sandra the daughter. She left Warrington in the 60s and went to live with her uncle in the US.
Could any of your readers help with this? I have treid the Warrington library to no avail.
