Teenagers to be proud of!

0

I have just walked through Ridgway Grundy Park and found 4 teenagers CLEANING OFF some truly vile graffiti that was daubed on the skatepark.
I spoke to the group, to tell them how impressed I was to see them doing this work. They suggested they should try to get someone from Lymm Life to take their photo but didn’t know how to go about it.
It was freezing cold and raining, but still they struggled on trying to remove the offensive words. They had obviously seen the problem and gone home to get buckets, scrubbing brushes and washing up liquid etc.
I persuaded them to let me take a photo of them on one of their phones and told them how to send it to you. I do not know any of the 4 young people but I would say they are about age 16/17.
I hope they have the courage to send the photo to you, (one did half-jokingly say they would be ‘beaten up’ if anyone saw them) but if they aren’t brave enough, perhaps you could mention that although there are some awful teenagers around – i.e. the ones who wrote the graffiti, there are many others who don’t want to be associated with this bad behaviour.
Regards
Mary Clarke
