CELEBRITIES from TV soaps including Hollyoaks, Brookside, Emmerdale Farm and Coronation Street, turned out in force at Warrington Town FC on Sunday during a special charity match organised to support two local charities.
Stars from Channel 4's Hollyoaks football team took to the field against a Warrington Town Select XI, led by Big Brother star Craig Phillips, to raise much needed funds for Warrington Disability Partnership and SPARC during the event at Cantilever Park.
More than 1,000 fans packed into the ground to help create a carnival atmosphere as the match ended in a 1-1 draw - with Hollyoaks winning the penalty shoot out.
The Hollyoaks team was led Nick Pickard, alias Tony Hutchinson, who appeared in the first ever episode of the Channel 4 soap.
Other celebrities who supported the event included Coronation Street star Kim Marsh and Carley Webb, alias Debbie Dingle in Emmerdale Farm.
Funds raised on the day helped raise money for Warrington Disability Partnership and SPARC, a local charity which helps people with learning difficulties find meaningful employment.
After the game there was a mini-pitch invasion from young autograph hunters as the celebrities posed for photos with their fans.
