A COMMUNITY family fun day being organised by the Shannon Bradshaw Trust is sure to be a knockout event.
The trust will be staging the event, which features an "It's A Knockout" competition, to raise money for local schools.
On the day there will be a guest appearance from local celebrity and patron to the trust, Steve Arnold (Ashley from Coronation Street), as well as fair ground rides, bouncy rides, tombolas, a barbeque area and beer tent.
Mary Bonner, chairman of the trust and organiser of the event, is still on the lookout for companies to sponsor teams for the competition.
She said: "I am looking for companies to sponsor or part sponsor teams taking part in the community fun day. Also, I am looking for individuals to compete in teams of 10 - 24 teams in total.
"This particular event will go towards raising funds for It's a Knockout equipment. The charity wants to run an It's A Knockout competition for schools to take part in. The winning schools will get funding to use in their individual development areas."
Companies who do become sponsors will receive media coverage, name of the company on a team tabard, advertisements at the venue and in the programmes.
The Shannon Bradshaw Trust raises money for children in the UK who have life-threatening illnesses and local schools.
It was set up in the memory of Shannon Bradshaw, a young Warrington child who sadly lost her battle with Aplastic Anaemia in 2002.
Anyone interested in sponsoring or taking part in the event should contact Mary on 01925 407 058, or 01925 471 170.
