TEENAGER James Robinson will be flying the Culcheth flag when he jets off to Washington DC to take part in the World Leadership Congress in July.
James, 15, was selected for the trip after proving an instant hit at the Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership seminar held in Chester.
Organisers at HOBY said he demonstrated “outstanding leadership potential.”
James will represent Culcheth High School at the congress – but he still has one huge challenge ahead of him before he can meet with other youngsters from all over the world however, raising the £1,600 needed for travel.
He said: “I need to raise £1600 sponsorship to take up this opportunity. Sponsoring a student in the community may be beneficial to anyone or any company.”
As an active member of the newly elected school council, James hopes he can use his experience to persuade people about his views, while also picking up useful tips to utilise in Culcheth.
HOBY is an international organisation that aims to motivate and empower individuals to make a positive contribution within global society through understanding and action based on effective, compassionate leadership.
The WLC takes place between July 25 and August 2, anyone interested in sponsoring James can do so by contacting Business School Manager at Culcheth High School Amanda Stevens on -761518 or [email protected]
