CULCHETH and Glazebury Parish Council are on the hunt for a “Community Superhero”!
The search comes as part of the preparations for this year’s village Community Day, which will be held on Monday, May 4 on the Village Green.
The theme for this year’s event is “superheroes”. As well as encouraging villages to come along in costume, the Parish Council are also planning to award the first “Community Superhero” prize.
But they need your nominations!
Cllr Chris Vobe said: “Our Community Superhero award seeks to recognise those people in our community who are the unsung heroes of our villages. People who have gone above and beyond – perhaps for a charitable cause, or perhaps even just donating their time to help neighbours and friends without reward. We want as many nominations as possible, so please don’t delay – submit yours today. The winner of this year’s award will receive their prize on Community Day on the village green.”
Nominations should be sent to Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council via the email address: [email protected]. Those without email can be hand delivered to Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Coucil, c/o 2 Hebden Avenue, Culcheth, WA3 5JL.Nominations should be submitted by 28th April and give as many reasons as possible why he nominated person is deserving of the award.
