Roads to close for five weeks

TEMPORARY road closures are to be introduced on the A5080 at Penketh, Warrington for a period of up to five weeks from Monday, April 27 while essential carriageway resurfacing takes place.
The closures will be carried out in phases to minimise disruption, and it is expected they will only be in operation between 9.30am t9o 3.30pm, Monday to Friday, when signs are in place on site.
Stretches to be affected are Farnworth Road, from its junction with the A562 Widnes Road to its junction with South Lane, South Lane from its junction with Farnworth Road and the borough boundary and Cuerdley Road from its junction with Farnworth Road for about 25 metres in a southerly direction.
An alternative route will be via South Lane, Mill Lane, A557 Watkinson Way, A562 Fiddlers Ferry Road, A562 Dan’s Road, A562 Widnes Road and vice versa.
