Appeal following distraction burglary

POLICE are appealing for information following a distraction burglary in Culcheth, Warrington, involving a man pretending to be from the waterboard.
The incident happened on Tuesday March 3, at 10.30am whent he man approached a house on Broseley Lane, Culcheth and asked to check the water pressure.
Once inside the house, the man distracted the occupant before stealing cash from her purse.
The man is described as: white in his early 20s, with a slim build and approximately 6ft tall. He has short light brown hair and is clean shaven. He was wearing a dark sweatshirt at the time of the offence.
Officers have circulated an efit of the person they’d like to speak to.
