New health chief appointed

Dr-Dan-Bunstone 2NHS WARRINGTON Clinical Commissioning Group has appointed Dr Dan Bunstone as the organisation’s new GP chairman.
He succeeds Dr Andy Davies, who was appointed clinical chief officer in December.
Dr Bunstone, (pictured) a GP at Penketh Health Centre and the CCG’s clinical lead for long term conditions, studied at Liverpool University Medical School and has been a GP in Warrington since 2008.
He has been an active member of the CCG’s governing body both in shadow form from 2011 and since it became a statutory organisation in 2013.
Dr Bunstone said: “I am pleased to be appointed as clinical chair of the CCG and welcome the opportunity to lead the organisation into its next stage of development. I am looking forward to the challenges the role will bring and I am committed to improving healthcare for the people
of Warrington.”
Dr Davies said: “I am delighted to confirm Dr Bunstone’s appointment and look forward to working closely with him in his new role as chair.”
