Monaghan to miss Rhinos test

WARRINGTON Wolves will be without Skipper Joel Monaghan when they entertain Leeds Rhinos at the Halliwell Jones on Friday evening, kick off 8pm.
Last year’s leading try scorer (pictured below) suffered a slight thigh strain during the victory over Hull KR and is ruled out for one or two weeks.

But the squad is bolstered by the return of Ryan Atkins, who pulled out of last Sunday’s victory over Hull KR at the last minute due to illness.
The Rhinos travel to The Halliwell Jones Stadium as current league leaders. The sides met on three occasions last season, winning one apiece in the league but with Leeds having the final say in the cup tie.
The game will be screen live by Sky TV.
Head of coaching and rugby Tony Smith said: “It’s been a short turnaround for us but Friday’s is a game that we are looking forward to. It’s a big challenge. Leeds had the classic game of two halves last week…It gave us the chance to see both sides to the Rhinos and the dangers they can bring.”
Check out video interviews with Tony Smith and Matty Russell later.
