BIRCHWOOD Community High School’s basketball team has scored a kit sponsorship deal with local fuel and lubricants distributor, Certas Energy.
Certas Energy, whose head office is in Birchwood Park, Warrington, donated £350 to buy new sports kits for the team.
The new blue and white kits will bring unity to the team, giving them a strong identity for games across the region.
Jason Steven, customer sales development manager, said: “Sponsoring the new kits for Birchwood Community High School’s basketball team was the perfect opportunity to support grassroots sporting activities in the local area. As a community-focused company we are always on the lookout for opportunities to support initiatives in the areas we serve.
“We hope the new kits give the players a sense of confidence, energy and team spirit to help them in their games. We think they look fantastic.”
Graeme Gardiner, Head of PE at Birchwood Community High School, said: “The team is currently riding high, as our Year 7 and 8 teams have won the Warrington Schools’ Basketball Leagues and qualified for the Cheshire Championships.
“The team look really professional in their new kits, so we’re very grateful for the donation from Certas Energy.”
