NHS Warrington makes a pledge

andrew-daviesNHS Warrington CCG is making a pledge to become a dementia friendly organisation when staff undertake the Alzheimer Society’s “Dementia Friends” training as part of NHS Change Day.
On Wednesday March 11, NHS Change Day will bring together hundreds of thousands of NHS staff across the country pledging to make a small change that will improve care for patients and their families.
Change Day marks an NHS grassroots movement involving health and care workers, patients, carers, volunteers and members of the public. Its aim is to support these people by celebrating and sharing their actions so that they can then inspire others to do the same.
Dr Andy Davies (pictured), clinical chief officer of Warrington CCG, said: “Anyone can make a change to improve health and care for patients.
“This day of action will see individuals and teams pledging to make a small change in their practice to improve patient experience as well as clinical outcomes. We hope that by spreading our vision of best practice and championing innovative ways of working we can help shape a better NHS for everyone.”
How can local people get involved?
They can read some of the #100DaysofChange stories on the website www.changeday.nhs.uk to get ideas for changes that could be made today.
Then they make a change, share their change by recording it at http://changeday.nhs.uk/tell-us-your-action – and then inspire others to do the same.
