WARRINGTON’S Golden Gates Housing Trust (GGHT) has been named as the 72nd Best Not-For-Profit Company to work for the UK in the annual Sunday Times awards.
The Trust’s position was announced at a ceremony in London. The event brought together 200 companies from throughout the UK to find out where they had placed on two of the Sunday Times Best Company lists; Best Small Company and Best Not-For-Profit Company.
This is the fourth year that GGHT staff have taken part in the Best Companies engagement survey, the results of which can result in a place on the prestigious list. After finally cracking one star accreditation this year, GGHT were extremely proud to be named number 72nd on the list overall. It’s the Trusts best ever position with a much improved score on previous years.
GGHT’s improved score is part of a trend this year which has seen the housing sector dominate the ‘Not-For-Profit’ category. In total, nine housing associations featured in the top 10 with over 50 housing organisations making the top 100 Best Not-for-Profit Organisations to Work For.
GGHT Head of HR & OD, Gary Cookson said: “We’re extremely proud to have been awarded a One Star rating for the first time and to continue our rise up the league table. The result is a reward for the effort we have put into improving our approach to employee engagement and overall culture at GGHT. Our upward trend is promising and we hope for further improvements in the years to come.”
