Help shape Warrington’s cultural vision

kate hannonRESIDENTS are being given the opportunity to re-shape the cultural vision for Warrington.
The “It’s All Going on in Warrington” cultural strategy is being reviewed and refreshed and the Cultural Partnership Board would like the views of residents and partners.
Through a questionnaire, people can give their views on the goals and priorities for the town.
For example one goal is: “A thriving town with a strong heritage where arts and culture sits at the heart of the future development of our people and our place”.
There is also a chance for local people or organisations to get involved with a task group which looks at how these priorities will be achieved.
Cllr Kate Hannon (pictured), the council’s lead member for leisure, community and culture said: “Four years ago we published a Cultural Strategy for Warrington that focused on building our cultural heritage and improving the experience for residents and visitors. We now want to build on the foundations that have been put in place and further develop Warrington’s cultural offering.
“We have put together a draft outline framework premised on partnership working which describes the vision and goals, and encourages people to get involved. All comments will be considered and will help us shape the cultural landscape for the town.”
People can have a say on the cultural framework at www.warrington.gov.uk/consultations or contact [email protected] or call 01925 442030 for more information.
The closing date is Friday March 13.
