TWO Warrington manufacturers were named regional runners-up in the prestigious EEF/Aldermore Future Manufacturing Awards.
Croft Filters and sister company Croft Additive Manufacturing, manufacturers of bespoke filters for industry sectors across the world, which employ 27 staff across the two businesses, was narrowly pipped to the post for the Business Growth Award, sponsored by Westfield Health. The award recognises manufacturers who have achieved dynamic business growth through actively managed and consistently delivered growth strategies.
ABB, a leader in power and automation technologies employing 2,500 staff in the UK, was named runner-up for the Environmental Efficiency Award, sponsored by ENER-G. This award celebrates the achievements of manufacturers that have done the most to improve their environmental performance.
The companies were selected by a panel of judges drawn from business leaders, industry experts and academics. They were up against stiff competition from a range of businesses, small and large, from
across the North West.
Neil Burns, director at Croft Filters and Croft Additive Manufacturing, said: “This award is testament to our team and its investment in developing additive manufacturing. This commitment has enabled us to expand our offering and expertise and, in turn, achieve significant business growth. It has put us on the map as a dynamic and innovative company, and it’s great to see other local manufacturers also being
recognised for their contribution to the industry.”
Steve Hughes, ABB’s UK sales manager for variable-speed drives, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have been recognised for this award. It is great to see that all our hard work has paid off and we can’t wait to tell our staff, customers and suppliers the good news.”
