Hooded men in raid on store

THREE men entered a Warrington convenience store, threatened the shopkeeper and demanded money from the till.
But when the shopkeeper refused to hand over any cash, the men fled the scene empty handed.
Police today appealed for information about the incident which occurred at the Concord News and Convenience store on Poplars Avenue, Orford at about 8pm on Sunday (February 22).
The three offenders were all wearing hooded coats.
DC Ian Bingley from Warrington CID said: “I would like to appeal to anyone who was in the local area at the time this incident occurred and believes that they may have any information to contact Cheshire Police.”
Information can be reported directly by calling police on 101, quoting incident number 682 of February 22 or alternatively, residents can report information anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
