Man suffers smoke inhalation in fire

A MAN was treated by paramedics after suffering from smoke inhalation when fire broke out at a house at Orford, Warrington.
The blaze was in the lounge of a property in Toll Bar Road and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled it using a hose reel jet.
The cause of the outbreak is under investigation.
In a separate incident, five people were trapped in a lift at a town centre store at Warrington when it became stuck between two floors.
Fire crews were called to the Marks and Spencer store in Sankey Street and were able to rescue the people unhurt.
It was the latest in a series of incidents in recent months in which people have been trapped in the lift at the store.
