Chest waxing more painful than breaking a leg says Town boss

WARRINGTON Town boss Shaun Reid says having his chest waxed was more painful than breaking his leg during his footballing career.
Reid volunteered to have his chest, back and legs waxed at a Wigan pub to raise funds for North West based community Interest Company Empathy, who offer therapeutic intervention to individuals, families and children.
Warrington town fans and club officials and family and friends rallied to the cause with more than £500 being raised so far.
Reid, known for his no nonsense tough tackling football career which included Bury, Rochdale and Chester, screamed out in pain as the hairs were ripped from his chest.
“The pain was worse than when I broke my leg playing football,” he confessed.
Sponsorship can still be made by post to Empathy North West 4 Green Lawn, Fairway L36 1YA or by emailing [email protected] or calling 0303 303 1333.
