Raiders smash their way into church

RAIDERS who broke into a church at Warrington got away with ceremonial silver plates and goblets.
The thieves also took a laptop computer and projector from Hope Hall Church on Hawthorne Street.
They gained entry by smashing a window.
A police spokesman said: “This crime has affected all the people who use this building and I would ask the community to be on the lookout for anyone who might be trying to sell items similar to those described and to let us know about it.”
Police are appealing for anyone who may have any information about this crime to call them on 101. Alternatively they can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 111 555.
