FIREFIGHTERS wearing breathing apparatus tackled a blaze in an outhouse in Grappenhall Road, Stockton Heath, Warrington today.
A hose reel jet was used in the operation and crews from Stockton Heath managed to prevent flames from spreading to an adjoining house.
A thermal imaging camera was used afterwards to check for remaining hotspots and crews also stripped away the roof of the building so the whole area could be dampened down.
It is believed the blaze was caused by discarded ashes.
