A NEW youth theatre group will be launched in Warrington at the end of the month.
The group will be open to anyone aged between 7-11 who wants to develop their drama skills, build confidence and make new friends.
It is being started by arts organisation Express Youth Theatre who already run a successful group for ages 12-16.
Now they have expanded to launching a new juniors group, which will open at Pyramid Arts Centre on Saturday January 24.
The groups work towards public performances throughout the year, varying
from scripted shows to devised work created by the group themselves.
Artistic director Sammi Walsh said: “After the success of our current group, we are really excited to be opening a new group and engaging more young people in the arts.
“There is so much young talent in the town, and the new youth theatre will provide an opportunity for young people to develop their skills in theatre, building confidence and having fun while doing it!”
The first session is on Saturday January 24 from 10am to 11.30am and is a free taster.
