Ambulance response times rising

AMBULANCE response times in Warrington are rising, according to MP Helen Jones.
Figures obtained by the Warrington North MP (pictured) in a Parliamentary answer show that median response times to category A calls – immediately life threatening incidents – have risen from 6.1 minutes in March last year tio 6.5 minutes in October,
In July, it was 6.6 minutes.
Ms Jones said: “Recent incidents in Warrington have shown that our ambulance service simply does not have the resources it needs to provide an adequate response to calls.
“These figures show that response times even to life threatening incidents are rising.
“We should remember that these are the average times – some responses will take longer.
“This service is not good enough for patients and does not provide the resources staff need to do a decent job. It needs proper resources to allow paramedics do to the job they do so well, saving lives and treating urgent cases.”
