MORE than 400 job opportunities with 30 different employers will be showcased at Warrington’s apprenticeship and careers fair on Thursday, January 22.
The event at The Centre, Birchwood Park aims to match local young people to live vacancies and has been organised and sponsored by the National Apprenticeship Service, Warrington Borough Council, Warrington Collegiate, Sellafield, Cheshire and Warrington LEP and The Centre – Birchwood Park.
Employers already confirmed as taking part include: Aldi, AMEC, Barclays, Barlows Electrical, Bentley Motors, Brookson, Cogent, Electricity North West, EMR group, Jaguar Land Rover, National Nuclear Laboratory, Nuvia, Optionis, Unilever, United Utilities and many others with the common theme of all having real vacancies that they are looking to fill this year.
The event starts at 6pm and continues until 9pm.
Booking is essential via: http://apprenticeshipcareersevent.eventbrite.co.uk
Cllr Jean Carter (pictured), the borough council’s lead member for children and young people said: “It’s fantastic to see that so many employers have signed up to attend the fair. It’s a great opportunity for young people to receive professional advice and to meet real employers face-to-face.
“So if you and your friends are looking for a new job, or education or training opportunity, and need some help with choosing which path to go down, make sure you book on to this and don’t miss out.”
Free parking and refreshments will be available on the night.
