Heritage centre public meeting

THE plan to open an information and heritage Centre in Lymm takes an important step forward on January 14 when the working group hold their first AGM at Lymm Youth & Community Centre on Bridgewater Street at 7.30pm.
“This is a key event for us” explained group spokesperson Alan Williams (pictured). “Up to this point we have met informally as a group on a couple of occasions to make outline plans but the aim now is to get to the point where we can start to formulate a detailed timetable that includes a venue, funding and potential content. We have received almost unanimous support for the concept from all sides including residents, traders and visitors. We feel confident that the time is right and that such a centre would be real benefit to the community as a whole. Our goal is to have something up and open during 2015 if at all possible.”
The meeting is open to all – especially those who would like to get “hands-on” involved in the project.
For more information in advance contact Alan on 01925-754080 or [email protected] or simply turn up on the night.
