The Wonders of Walton

WARRINGTON based photographer Andy Gilbert has been holding a “Wonder of Walton” exhibition at Walton Hall and Gardens.
The former environmental health chief, who is a member of Warrington and District Camara Club, has been delighted with feedback to his exhibition.
Now the Friends of Walton Estate who sponsored the exhibition, have agreed with WBC estate manager to refurbish one of the former stables in the heritage courtyard in order to to make a gallery – and to incorporate the exhibition to make it more accessible to the public on a daily basis.
Andy, who lives in Appleton said: “A few years ago I joined the Warrington and District Camera Club and what a great way to boost your technical abilities and confidence as a photographer – whether a beginner or enthusiast. It gave me the confidence to hold an exhibition at a local framing and picture gallery in Latchford. It went very well, and I am now selling my pictures on a regular basis.
“Although I have, and will continue to travel around the world recording and interpreting what I see, I have taken many many good subjects here in Warrington.”
