Football match falls victim to festive snowfall

THE festive snowfall has resulted in Warrington Town’s home game against New Mills being called off.
The game had been scheduled to take place tomorrow (Sunday, kick off 3pm, but was called off today following a pitch inspection which revealed the ground was frozen under the snow.
Warrington Town are scheduled to be next in action on New Year’s Day when they host table topping Northwich Victoria, kick off 3pm.
Meanwhile Warrington Wolves’ scheduled friendly with Widnes will be subject to a pitch inspection in the morning.
