Fire alert at Warrington school

FIRE crews were called to a Warrington school early today following reports of smoke coming from the building.
Two fire engines arrived at Bridgewater High School, in Broomfields Road, Appleton to find part of the school smokelogged.
A fire was located in the server room and two firefighters, wearing breating apparatus, entered the building to investigate.
They used a dry power extinguisher and a horse reel jet to tackle the fire.
The electrics were isolated and a ventilation unit used to clear smoke from the building.
Crews used a ladder to carry out an inspection of the roof immediately above where the fire was found.
An electrical fault is being blamed for the blaze.
