Emma's poetry success

A 14-year-old pupil from Warrington’s Sir Thomas Boteler CE High School has won a poetry competition run by Age UK.
Emma Jane Fellows titled her poem “A Vow to Later Life” – and the judges said her poem was selected because it perfectly represented the values of Age UK and their mission of “Loving Later Life.”
Emma said: “~I really enjoyed writing this poem; loneliness among older people, who can perhaps find no reason to make the most of their later life, is a tragic issue and I think this poem may encourage people to think that old age isn’t the end – it’s an entirely new chapter in life.”
