A FUNDRAISING meal in Culcheth has raised more than £1800 for the Warrington YMCA and Room at the Inn.
Shelley Bennett and Julie Egerton organised the event at Raj Indian Restaurant, and managed to obtain more than 40 prizes from businesses for raffle prizes, raising a total of £1,843.85.
Brian Hayes, who featured on Channel 4’s Undercover Boss, and works for the Warrington YMCA as a Sports and Activities Co-ordinator and Night Shelter Project Worker, gave an inspiring speech on the evening, which highlighted the fantastic work done at the YMCA and Room at the Inn. This resulted in a number of people coming forward to offer their help.
Sue Blythe the Manager of the Warrington YMCA said: “The evening was really successful and had a good atmosphere. I would like to thank everyone who supported the event and I hope they will again next year.”
