Jobs available – caring for others

JOBSEEKERS in Warrington looking for work helping to care for other people are being invited to a recruitment event tomorrow (Wednesday).
The event is at the Town Hall between 10.30am and 6pm and is being held by the borough council to encourage people to seek worthwhile careers in domiciliary care.
It is considered suitable for people looking for a career change, those thinking of returning to work and youngsters starting their working life from school or college.
Domiciliary care is about providing personal and practical support to people in their own homes. It’s about supporting them to maintain their independence, dignity and control.
Care workers could be working with a woman in her 90s or a man in his 20s – but they will be making a positive difference to their health, happiness and wellbeing.
Cllr Pat Wright (pictured), the borough council’s lead member for health and wellbeing and adult services, said: “This is a very rewarding career choice and plays an important and caring role within our community. If anyone is interested I suggest they come along to this event, have a chat with managers from organisations in Warrington and the carers who work
for them and find out more about what opportunities are available.”
If needed, help and guidance will be available on completing application forms and the recruitment process.
