House in garden plan approved – again

PLANNING chiefs at Warrington have given the go-ahead for a house in the rear garden of a bungalow – for the second time.
Members of the borough council’s planning committee approved a scheme for land at the rear of Heath Road, Penketh in October last year.
Now they have approved a slightly amended scheme for the same site.
Main difference between the two proposals is that the original one was for a detached house with a detached garage while the new scheme involves an attached garage.
The committee was told the site was originally an orchard. The new proposal is for a traditional, oak timber style with leaded windows, handmade rustic bricks and Rosemary clay tiles. It had attractive architectural features would be a much more attractive building than the original proposal.
It would not be materially different to the existing approved plan and would not cause harm to amenity or highway safety.
