WARRINGTON Town progressed to the second round of the Doodson Cup with a comfortable 3-0 victory away at Radcliffe Borough.
Town will be hoping for a repeat performance when they host Radcliffe at the Winner Recruitment Stadium this coming Saturday, kick off 3pm.
But the gloss was taken off the victory with striker Ben Wharton (pictured top) carried off with a knee injury against his former club in the first half.

Warrington made the game safe in the second half when substitute striker Steve Foster side footed the ball home after good work by Chris Gahgan.
Warrington’s reward for victory is an away trip to Workington Town in the 2nd round on Tuesday December 2.
