Children in care to get creative

CHILDREN in care and foster carers’ children in Warrington are being urged to “get creative” and take part in a “design a Christmas Card” competition.
Due to the great success of last year’s competition, the borough council have launched it again this year.
The three winning designs will each receive a cash prize and will have their creations featured on the council’s corporate Christmas e-card. They will also receive a supply of cards with their design printed on them for their own personal use.
There will be an advent calendar on the fostering service Facebook page featuring a different design entry each day throughout December.
The council’s lead member for children and young people’s services, Cllr Jean Carter, said: “Last year, we received a brilliant response to the competition and it’s great to see that we are running it again this year.
“We hope that the competition will provide a fun activity for children in care and foster carer’s children and I have no doubt that this year’s campaign will be greatly received across the town. I can’t wait to see this year’s entries!”
