Bridgewater Canal art exhibition

AN ART exhibition that explores The Bridgewater Canal will open at The Gallery at Bank Quay House on Thursday (November 6, from 6pm).
The exhibition, by local artist Colin Binns, presents a series of colourful paintings and drawings inspired when walking the towpath of the canal.
The series of artworks focuses on the settlements along the length of the canal from Manchester.
The cultural and industrial changes that have taken place in the hinterland of the waterway since the canal’s inception have been a rich source of imagery for the sense of place explored in this project.
The exhibition runs until the end of January 2015.
