POLICE have launched a murder investigation at Culcheth, Warrington, after a 47-year-old woman died from her injuries in her own home.
Shortly before 3pm yesterday, Sunday (Nov 2) Cheshire Police were called to an incident at an address on Chiltern Road, Culcheth.
Upon arrival at the address officers discovered a woman who had sustained serious injuries. 
Sadly, Clare Munro, aged 47 died of her injuries at the scene.
The address in Chiltern Road remains cordoned and Cheshire Police have launched a murder investigation.
Specialist officers are working to support the family at this tragic time.
A 50-year-old man remains in custody in connection with the investigation.
