Witness appeal after road crash

POLICE at Warrington have issued an appeal for witnesses following a collision on the A49 in the town this morning.
The incident took place on Brick Street, near the Cockhedge roundabout, at around 9.15am.
It is believed a dark-coloured Vauxhall Insignia was involved in a collision with a white Volkswagen Polo.
The driver of the Insignia, a 50-year-old man from Liverpool, was uninjured. The driver of the white Polo, a 23-year-old man, was taken by ambulance to Warrington Hospital following the collision, where his condition is being assessed.
Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the collision to contact them on 101 quoting incident 152 of 28/10/2014.
