Road works will lead to two weeks of closures

TRAFFIC is to be prohibited from using the A56 Chester Road at Warrington at times for a period of two weeks while essential carriageway resurfacing work is carried out.
The work will affect the A5060 Chester Road, the A56 Chester Road, the A56 Walton New Road, Ellesmere Road and Hill Cliffe Road.
Work is expected to start from Monday, November 17 but it is anticipated road closures will only be in operation between 7pm and Midnight, Monday to Friday, as and when signs will be in place on site.
Work will be carried out in phases to minimise disruption, but drivers are advised to expect hold-ups at times.
Alternative routes will be signposted and involve Walton New Road, Walton Road, London Road and Wilderspool Causeway.
