Bid to trace woman who picked up wrong suitcase

BRITISH Transport Police have launched a public appeal to trace a woman who mistakenly picked up the wrong suitcase and left a train at Warrington Central Station earlier this year.
Investigating officer PC Lee Valentine said: “A passenger had stored his black suitcase in the luggage rack on boarding the train but later realised it was missing.
CCTV shows the woman pick up the bag, which was similar to her own, at around 12.22pm on July 14 and leave the train at Warrington Bank Quay station.
“No doubt this woman got a surprise when she opened the bag only to find someone else’s belongings inside. We’d like to speak to her to resolve the mix up.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40, or text 61016, quoting reference PSUB/B12 of 14/10/14. Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
