Man charged with possession of shotgun

A 25-year-old man has been charged with possession of a shotgun, following a firearms warrant being issued at an address in Birchwood, Warrington.
David Holding was initially arrested on July 23 after a warrant was conducted at an address on Pheasant Close, Birchwood in Warrington.
On searching the address officers discovered a sawn off shotgun, along with three shotgun cartridges, which had been stolen during a burglary in February from an address in Northwich.
Following the warrant, Holding was initially released on bail whist officers conducted forensic investigations.
After gathering all of the required evidence, Holding was formally charged with possession of a shotgun on Friday October 10, he is due to appear at Halton Magistrates Court on Tuesday, October 28.
