Police appeal to trace abusive man

POLICE have released CCTV images of a man they believe made violent and abusive threats to a member of rail staff at Warrington Central Station.
The CCTV images show a man British Transport Police believe may have information about an unpleasant incident that occurred at around 5.35pm on Wednesday, August 27.
Investigating officer PC Glyn Thomas said: “A member of rail staff stopped a man from entering the station as he had no ticket and had no intention to pay for his journey.
“He became verbally abusive and began making threats of violence to the staff member.
“If you recognise the man in the images please contact us.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40, or text 61016, quoting reference PSUB/B3 of 13/10/14. Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
