Fire crews tackle roof blaze

FIRE crews at Warrington were called out to deal with a blaze in the roof space of a house in the early hours of the morning.
The blaze involved a property in Warrington Road, Glazebury, and started in the roofspace of a kitchen extension.
Firefighters from Birchwood and Warrington were involved in the operation and use a hose reel to extinguish the outbreak.
Smoke alarms were fitted on the premises and did operate
A home safety assessment had been carried out by the fire service only a few weeks previously.
No-one was hurt.
Earlier yesterday (Tuesday) fire crews were called to Warrington’s Golden Square shopping centre to release two women trapped in a lift.
