FIFTY excited youngsters received free books at the Warrington launch of national campaign “Read On, Get On”.
The campaign to get more families reading together was launched locally at Padgate Library – and 50 copies of “The Diary of a Wimpy Kid” were given away.
There were also activities including Wimpy Kid mask and suitcase making, while families enjoyed reading the book together.
Chris Everett, LiveWire’s development librarian for reading said: “We had a great morning in Padgate, and were delighted to see so many families and children come down to join in the activities on offer, pick up a free book and spend time reading together.”
